About Us

We got tired of applying into the void.

FetchWork started as a cron job and a Postgres table one of us wrote to stop refreshing career pages at midnight. It worked embarrassingly well, so we kept going. We're a small engineering team building the job search we wanted while we were the ones searching.

Our Mission

Finding the right job should cost you an afternoon, not six months of evenings.

Your work is the resume

What you've shipped says more than a keyword list. We start from your repositories and history, not a form.

Boring about your data

Read-only scopes, official OAuth consent, no outreach without your approval, and nothing sold to recruiters. Ever.

Say what's built

We label what's live, what's in development, and what's still a plan. You shouldn't have to guess what you're signing up for.

Our Story

How we got here.

2024

A midnight cron job

Three months of open tabs and duplicate listings later, one of us wrote a script to diff company job endpoints on a schedule. It sent a plain-text email. It found a role two hours after it went up.

2025

Friends started asking

The script became a service: proper polling of Greenhouse, Lever and Workday, GitHub connected over OAuth so the results were about the person and not a search string.

2026

Opening it up, carefully

We're onboarding waitlist batches as we scale the polling infrastructure, and building the guidance layer — matching, tailored resumes, interview prep — in the open rather than pretending it already ships.

The Team

Four engineers who have all been on the other side of this.

Names, photos and bios are placeholders — swap in the real ones before launch.

Co-founder, Backend

Wrote the original midnight cron job. Owns the polling pipeline and everything that keeps it from rate-limiting.

Co-founder, Product

Spent six months job hunting between infra roles. Decides what ships and what stays labelled "in development".

Engineer, Matching

Building the scoring layer — skill and project-history overlap, no keyword soup, no magic claims.

Engineer, Platform

Runs the boring, important parts: OAuth scopes, data retention, and the on-call rotation of one.
